    Members, Governor Mike Kehoe will be at the SLPOA Hall on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at 10am to sign HB495 returning control of the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department to a Governor-appointed board of police commissioners.  Also scheduled to be in attendance is Senator Nick Schroer, Senator Travis Fitzwater and the bill’s sponsor, Representative Brad Christ.

This legislation repeals two unfair provisions in the Social Security Code, the Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP) and the Government Pension Offset (GPO), which have disproportionately impacted public safety officers and other government employees.

    Labor Committee Meetings

    Members, The Labor Committee is holding two upcoming meetings to seek input from membership concerning provisions that are important to officers as we begin our negotiations for our successor collective bargaining agreement.  The meetings will be held at the SLPOA Hall on Tuesday, January 28th at 10am and on Thursday, January 30th at 4pm.
