  • Telephone solicitation drive

Thank you for visiting the Davie Fraternal Order of Police Home Page. We are currently conducting our yearly fund-raising drive. Below are some FAQ's for those who have received a phone call asking for a donation. Thank you all for your support!

    Q.  Is the FOP making phone calls asking for donations?

    A.  Yes, we have contracted with J&G of South Florida to conduct telephone solicitation calls to help raise money.

     Q.  What does the FOP do with the money that is donated?

    A.  We use the money to support charitable community projects, such as Concerns of Police Survivors, Special Olympics, Youth Athletic programs, Davie Police Athletic League, college scholarships to local students, and other local programs.  In addition, proceeds are also used to benefit families of fallen officers, our local law enforcement community, local businesses, and the community.

     Q.  Does the money really go to the FOP?

     A.  Yes, J&G of South Florida is the only company authorized to solicit donations on behalf of the Davie FOP Lodge 100.  If you still have concerns, you may leave a w contact the board under contact us.  Receipts with official FOP markings will be given with each donation.

     Q.  I want to make sure the money is really going to the FOP, will an FOP member come by and pick it up?

     A.  Yes, you can simply request for an officer from our Lodge to come by and pick up the donation.  Receipts with official FOP markings will be given with each donation. You are also welcomed to drop a donation check off at the Davie Police Department.

     Q.  I received a call from 954-903-xxxx, is that really from the FOP?

     A.  Yes, Davie FOP Lodge 100 has a contract with J&G of South Florida to conduct telephone solicitation calls to help raise money. Telephone numbers for J&G of South Florida include (954) 903-4692, 4693, 4696, 4697, & 4699

     Q.  They asked me to leave a check outside my house, so they could come by and pick it up, is that normal?

     A.  Yes, as part of their normal practice, they send employees out to pick up the donations.  Receipts with official FOP markings will be given with each donation.

     Q.  What if I don’t want someone to come to my house to pick up the donation?

     A.  Picking up the donation allows the quickest way for us to receive the donation, however if you are uncomfortable with this method, you may mail the donation to our Lodge mailing address at:
Davie Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #100
    P.O. Box 291985
    Davie, FL 33324

Or you can drop it off at the Davie Police Department

     Q.  If I want to complain about the phone call I received, who can I contact?

     A.  We would ask that you first try to clear up any concern with the company by contacting Larry or Joel from J&G of South Florida at (954) 316-6310.  If they are unable to resolve the problem or you still have concerns you can contact our Lodge at 754-222-0650 and one of our Officers will call you back. Please keep in mind that our lodge Officers are active duty police Officers and work different shifts, therefore it may be more than a few days to get back to you. We appreciate your patience.
